Congratulations SenatorPresident Obama. This is truly a great day in America, I did not vote for you and I still disagree with your positions but I believe that you’ve achieved for us in American history a turning point which could mean a new birth for an even greater nation. Sir, you have my complete loyalty as an American citizen. God bless you and God bless America.

I think your first act as President should be adding your name to all spell checkers.

On Education and Race, A voice from the past.

education for the Negro To begin with it must be borne in mind that the condition that existed in the South immediately after the war and that now exists is a peculiar one without a parallel in history This being true it seems to me that the wise and honest thing to do is to make a study of the actual condition and environment of the Negro and do that which is best for him regardless of whether the same thing has been done for another race in exactly the same way There are those among

Turn In Here

Turn In Here
It seemed So Clear
Peace And Rest
Whispered In My Ear

But When I Sat To Contemplate
The Attractions All Swallowed Up My Fate

Paralyzed Or So It Seemed
Peace And Rest Were Just A Dream
Asleep In The Arms Of A World Of Lies
I Must Leave This Place One More Time

This Place Is Always There For Me
Offering It’s Pleasantries
It Would Be So Easy To Stay A Day
But My Home Is But A Breath Away

Never Forget

God Bless America. God has blessed America. I have trouble with those statements sometimes, or rather those statements are troubling. Troubling because I think of those who are less fortunate, those in third world countries, those who are starving. But we must remember that though there are many who can point to what they believe is wrong with America or even the hypocrisy of America, that America has been a great force for good in this world. America has no equal in terms of compassion.

On the homefront, on this day we should remember all those who lost their lives seven years ago. All those caught unawares and all those who sacrificed all because they felt that there job was more than just a duty, it was an obligation.

For all those who serve this country, from community organizers to all those in the armed forces, I salute and thank you.

For a list of all those who lost their lives on 9/11/01 Go Here, Thanks Duane

I Can Not Vote For A Black Man

Every once in a while ( ok alot) I check my blog stats. I like to see where people are coming from. I also check to see what search terms are used by some who happen upon this blog. Well, this post is for the person using the search term ” i can not vote for a black man” which I noticed was use today and yesterday (and hopefully you will find this post).

My advice (if you’re willing to accept it) to you is to vote with your heart. Vote for the person that you believe will best serve the interests of our country and ALL Americans, regardless of race, creed or color. Let your judgement be based on Love. I want to see Barack Obama lose, but not because he’s black but because I disagree with his policies and his ideologies.

Catholics Against Joe Biden: Joe Biden channels Nancy Pelosi on Meet The Press — another “teaching moment” for the Catholic Bishops?

Tom Brokaw inquired Biden’s view on the beginning of human life and the matter of abortion and what he would do if Obama sought his counsel on the subject:

SEN. BIDEN: I’d say, “Look, I know when it begins for me.” It’s a personal and private issue. For me, as a Roman Catholic, I’m prepared to accept the teachings of my church. But let me tell you. There are an awful lot of people of great confessional faiths–Protestants, Jews, Muslims and others–who have a different view. They believe in God as strongly as I do. They’re intensely as religious as I am religious. They believe in their faith and they believe in human life, and they have differing views as to when life–I’m prepared as a matter of faith to accept that life begins at the moment of conception. But that is my judgment. For me to impose that judgment on everyone else who is equally and maybe even more devout than I am seems to me is inappropriate in a pluralistic society. And I know you get the push back, “Well, what about fascism?” Everybody, you know, you going to say fascism’s all right? Fascism isn’t a matter of faith. No decent religious person thinks fascism is a good idea.

Me: Facism is more a matter of faith than Abortion. Facism is an idea, who is Joe Biden to impose his religious views on facists? Common sense tells us that life begins at the moment of conception. What happens when an egg is fertilized? It begins to grow. What is growth if it is not life? What happens when this growth is seperated from it’s mother? It stops growing, it dies. Pro-Choicers Abortionists are (mass) murderers; and I speak here of those who push for this agenda, not so much as those who have bought the lies and delusions of the Abortionists.
